There are various languages that you can build your website templates. PHP, ASP.net and Html are the best. Photoshop and Dreamweaver software are other options.

If you want to create a new website you can either do it yourself, or pay somebody to do it.
If you plan on doing it yourself, you should know XHTML & CSS. You can learn them both at http://www.w3schools.com.
You should also know the basics of PHP which you can also learn from that website above.
As far as the design for your site, Photoshop is a good way to go - it's what I use for all my sites.
It'd probably be easiest if you just hired somebody to do it - it takes a long time to learn how to create websites on your own. You could have a 5 page website made for around $50 - $100 if you find the right people. Or you could always use site building software that you can get with your web host.

If you are to design you website for the first time you can use html first then the others will follow for advance coding. You also have to know the color combination for the website so it will be pleasing for the visitors.

I would have to recommend that if you are attempting to write a web site that you definitely consult the plethora of free tutorials that are available on the Internet.
The first thing you have to do is to become familiar with HTML, then CSS, and if you are planning on your site being interactive or dynamic then knowledge of java script and php are also a must.
Going to Google or other search engines and doing a search for "free html tutorial" is probably the best place to start
When you say template, do you mean creating a web site/web page? Or do you have an actual script or program you are using such as WordPress, Joomla, or something you are trying to make a template for? If that is the case then you have to throw in the requirements of the script with the learning curve

Lately I was searching the internet and found something interesting..I've found a website that offers you a free designed template for video, pictures and others like a youtube.
I got tired making my account and downloading it ..you can see the demo on their website and download it from there or from my link.
These ready made templates are really going to be very helpful. Thanks

Any good software that can help lessen the burden of learning to code word by word? I was thinking of front page but it kinda tends to jumble the codes and makes it harder to comprehend.
