I just wanted to ask about hostgator I don't know if this is the right thread but this is related to hosting. I just wanted to know, is it true that when your site is in hostgator you cannot embed some videos or embed music?

I do not know about them, but majority hosts provide facility of Audio and Video streaming. You just need to add proper MIME type of .flv files (Flash files) in order to do Audio and Video streaming.

I don't know about Hostgator. However, I think most web host should comes with the facility to embed videos or music. One can easily embed videos and music from Youtube or Imeem by just copy and paste codes.

Many hosts do not allow embedding audio and video in all hosting plans. You will need to select special plans to use it. I suggest you to contact Hostgator before you add audio/video in your web site.

Not all the hosting provider offer the same service,so whenever you got a question you'd better asking your hosting provider since they will give you the accurate answer.

That’s right, you must contact the hostgator support system, and like alanwalters said not all the hosting provider have the same service. Because every hosting provider has different system and service, so you must to contact their support service.

Why not contact directly the hostgator customer service?
That is quite strange because you cant embed a video.

I think it is better to contact hostgator directly to make your enquirer, it is only from the you can get correctly answer. But you can embed one or two videos or embed music if you have package with Domain name registration
