A free php comment system ?

I have a site with around 200 static pages. I want to a comment system for it. Something like wordpress comments system. Anyone know a good ?

The best way would be to have a php system implemented in your website.
in that way you wont stay with so many static pages because it is very hard to put a comment system in there because you will have to change your database query by hand.

You might try looking on hotscripts.com under PHP and see what is there. It will probably take a modification of some script you find because in order to make each page have a different set of comments, without the benefit of having the whole page dynamically driven will be a snag. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Still I'm searching. Haven't found a good one yet. I found few on Hotscripts.com but most are not suited for my site or they are not free.

Why not convert the site to wordpress. You can change the permalink settings so that your backlinks remain intact. Sure it will be tedious, but it seems liuke the best alternative from here.
